   when i click the entry title the link opens the entry in a new page and the content and footer both move. content shifts down and footer shifts right.

   perhaps div tags???

   click the first entry to see.

   what file would this problem be linked to?

   page.php
   single.php
   archive.php
   archives.php
   links.php

   etc.

   If this is not your theme, you need to talk to the theme designer.
   If you are creating the theme yourself you may want to read http://codex.wordpress.org/Stepping_Into_Templates if you have any further problems then post back here.
