• “If your .htaccess file were writable, we could do this automatically, but it isn’t so these are the mod_rewrite rules you should have in your .htaccess file. Click in the field and press CTRL + a to select all.”

I was told I need need to MAKE a .htaccess file and use FTP or some file management program to make the file on your server, copy the code into that file. Save. THEN try to use pretty permalinks

  • Ftp is not a file is program we install in computer to log in on server and transfer files.

If you using cpanel then you should have .htaccess file which is a hidden file. You need allow hidden files to be seen and then add the code in the file.
or change permissions of file so is writable.
