Permalinks are not working on an EC2 micro instance. (2 posts)

    I have started to mess around with the amazon free tier to web host a new project of mine.

    I have made 4 different instances. Three of them being custom installs using the Amazon Linux 64-bit AMI with the help of some tutorials/posts on other sites(posted below), and the last one using the Single Instance WordPress Blog stack from the Cloud Formation tool.

    In all of these installs pretty permalinks are not working. I am using the postname custom structure. They all go to the apache not found page, and that being my second problem. Why is it not going to the 404 page from the twenty eleven theme?

    Its difficult to say without seeing the backend (Im not asking for access so dont think im a baddy :P)
    Anyway, I can tell you im using the pretty perma links on my ec2 wordpress blog and it works fine?
