Permalink works OK, but now…

    Have a look at Options -> Permalinks.

    Scroll down a bit and find the “Optional” section.

    Have a read there. 🙂

    Now, to anticipate the follow-up question: No, not without breaking something else.

    Any way I can remove the category from my permalinks?

    It works without it – WordPress jsut creates all link from within the site with it.
