Permalink Types on Win 2003 IIS6 (4 posts)

    Hi,

    I read the following article several times but couldn't really understand it: http://codex.wordpress.org/Using_Permalinks

    In any case, we host our own blog (WordPress 2.03) with a v4nychristmas2-10 theme. It seems the only permalink that will work is the default.

    Whenever we changed to a different one, we will get HTTP 404 error. I tried to use any method listed in the above mentioned article, but sorry for my poor reading ability, I don't understand at all.

    So could anyone please help me by a step-by-step instruction for what are specifically needed and would be changed in Windows 2003/IIS 6 environment to use the rest of three types.

    Win servers are not "friendly" for permalinks.
