I seem to be having an issue with Permalinks in that some of my URL's are ok, the rest are not.

The homepage and the automatically generated 'About' page seem to work fine in that they display the URL as I want it to appear ie:

    http://www.mydomain.com/about/

However, all the other pages are display the URL's as:

    http://www.mydomain.com/this-page-here/

The 'Home' and 'About' pages display the URL as it appears on the navigation menu, the rest of the pages are using the page title. This is strange as the 'About' page as a different title to its page title but works as intended and only reflects the menu title.

Any help would br greatly appreciated as this is driving me nuts!!!

A page title and its URL do not necessarily have to be the same.

By default, once a non-default Permalinks option is selected, the URL of a page can be: http://www.mydomain.com/page-title where the page-title is generated essentially by replacing spaces with hyphens.

Once the URL is established you can change the page title but the URL will not change to match automatically. If you want it to match after editing the page title you will have to manually edit the URL (located directly underneath the Page Title).

... or vice-versa, you can edit the URL and leave the Page Title as it was.

Hope that helps sort things out ...
