Hello,
I created a simple website for my brother.
http://tombremer.net
The homepage is static, the posts are shown on the Blog page. Because I had to create a page called Blog that the posts appear on (but does not have any actual content), the permalink created (using %postname%) for the blog posts is /blog-2 --
If you go to /blog, it is the blank "Blog" page.
Is there anyway to get around this so that http://tombremer.net/blog is the actual blog?
Thanks in advance for help!

No it's not!

Sorry, the permalink for the blog is /blog-2
http://tombremer.net/blog-2/
I want it to be /blog
Thanks
-Marie
The problem is that you've created (and presumably trashed) an earlier page that was also called "Blog". So WP will force the -2 onto the permalink. Other than changing the name of the page and then editing the permalink to match, I don't know of a way around this.

Thanks - I had forgotten that I had indeed trashed an earlier page called Blog.
I read about this problem earlier today but just totally blanked that I had done that.
Anyway, the solution is to empty the trash folder, then go to the Blog page and change the permalink to /blog
Gracias Esmi.
