Permalink Issue and NO Access.

    PLEASE HELP, I have been using WP for 3 weeks now, I have version 2.5.1 and use the 7col 1.0.4 template.
    Everything was running great, then when I was adding a new post, I changed the permalink?
    so I went into the new screen page, after reading altered the permalink to day/month format and accepted, then all hell broke loose and my WP closed down.
    I went to log in and it now says:

    Forbidden, perhaps you need to change the file permissions for this document or upload an index page.

    Please help I cannot get into WP I have a server and it is loaded on there. What do I need to alter to get WP back.

    If I was to reload the whole of WP would I loose my blogs?
    What is the smallest amount of files I need to re load to get WP working again.

    All of your posts are in the databse and won’t be deleted if you up load new WP files. Buy you don’t need top do that just yet. Use FTP and find and delete the htaccess file; that should get you back into admin. Something went wrong when WP wrote the new permalink settings to .htaccess.

    If not, it’s more of a file permission problem. Who is your web host? Are you using Windows or Linux hosting? It’s a very good idea to upgrade WP, too, in this process….
