   I recently upgraded to 2.9 and now my permalink edit button does nothing.

   It is setup for custom structure /%postname%/

   when i hit the edit button nothing happens...nothing at all.

   HELP

   I am having the same problem and I am also using custom structure.

   A workaround is to edit the slug using the quick edit in the posts list. It seems to be using that as the permalink.
