Everything is working fine on default permalink. Images shows and all links work. When I change the permalink to anything from the default, all images are broken. When I change back to default permalink, all working again. Definitely a rewrite issue. I did use the default from wordpress setup. Running on windows and IIS 7 ... any ideas?

I 've had the same problem upgrading to WordPress version 3.4.1 and solved it by using the .htaccess rewrote file instead of web.config. In order for this to work you have to set IIS to .net extension on 2.0 integrated pipeline. Hope this is helpfull to you ....
