Permalink Category Display Help Request
-
Hi,
I’d like to setup my blog to look like a static site, so I’ve added the permalink structure:
/%category%/%postname%.html
This means that whenever I click on a post, it’s in it’s own category with a nice .html ending, for example:
http://www.sitename.com/categoryname/postname.htmlHowver, when I click on a category, an extra “/category/” folder is inserted into the URL rewrite. The category should read:
http://www.sitename.com/categoryname/
but instead it reads:
http://www.sitename.com/category/categoryname/The extra text “/category/” is being inserted by mistake.
Also I’d like to have my category urls have an index.html file extension as well, for example:
http://www.sitename.com/categoryname/index.html
rather than just:
http://www.sitename.com/categoryname/
Is this possible? Thanks a lot for your help,
Cheers,
Jeremy
