    We actually haven’t found a good way to do any sort of stress testing with this plugin, to be honest.

    It’s ajax/file write powered, so not sure how well it’ll do with that many users.

    Hi Michael, thanks for the speedy reply. I noticed on your site you require direct file access.

    I will try reconfiguring with php running through a unix:socket instead of the loopback address it currently runs on. Hopefully I this will give a speed bump.

    If that doesn’t work I may have to pay a trip to upgrade city.

    Is this issue been resolved? I notice intense CPU load when using the chat with more than 20 users…

    We haven’t been doing any active development on the plugin lately, to be honest, and it’s honestly not the best ways/technology to implement chat functionality, at least not for high levels of traffic. However, I wasn’t the original author so I didn’t have any say in this type of thing.

    I do know it utilizes ajax and file reading/writing from/to the server for the logging
