Perfect look in firefox, but not so in IE (9 posts)

    Hi there,
    this is my fourth wordpress website and the first I'm encountering problems with.

    Page

    If you compare the look of the page in firefox and in IE you'll probably know, what I am talking about.

    I haven't got a clue what could cause this... "chaos" in IE. The interesting thing is that the same theme runs perfectly on IE if you check out this page >> Example page.

    As far as I can remember the only changes to the roiginal theme was the putting new color codes in the css and re-doing the graphics - which kept their file format and name, of course.

    Anyone out there who might have a clue.....? Your help is very much appreciated.

    Thanks in advance

    fix your validation issues, specifically #9 regarding the <h2> tag.

    That wasn't much help, I am afraid. All validation issues but one solved - no change.

    /* import stylesheets and hide from ie/mac \*/
    @import url("master.css");
    @import url("ie.css");
    /* end import/hide */

    That's in your style.css, and although I don't understand how something is hidden from IE, it would seem, that IE doesn't get any css style at all because of these 4 lines. You might try putting everything from master.css to style.css.

    I'm sorry to disappoint you about that, but if you go to the sample page (second link above) you'll find that the style.css is exactly the same there - and that page is working on IE.

    Ok, but maybe their ie.css has more content than yours? I admit, I'm too lazy to check right now ;).

    Then use another theme *lol*.... sorry, I'm out of ideas. Have you tried to copy everything from master.css to style.css? If that doesn't do the trick, you'll have to hope for some css guru here ;).
