Hi there, I have a custom people-page.php to work with my theme which has worked well until the 3.7.1 version of WP. However, now the page loads without (obvious errors) but the people do not list. The author.php page loads perfectly. Any assistance?

After much head scratching as to why it isn't working, I have noticed there is no option on the "edit" page of people (the page that uses the template) for adding said people. I've tried disabling other plugins to get this to go and re-downloaded/replacing my files... and still not got to the bottom of this. Is this a 3.7.1 error or localized error?

    Hi Neilisin,

Just wanted to let you know that I've seen your note and will plan to test/trouble shoot soon. Thanks.

    Hello Again,

The plugin seems to be running fine on my local WP running 3.7.1.

If you aren't able to see the "People" meta box in the center column when editing your page it likely means that your page isn't being set to use your "People Page" template for some reason.

Do you have a "people-page.php" template in your theme? Is your page be set to use that template?

Is your theme's PP template ("people-page.php") named appropriately at the top of the file:

/* Template Name: People Page */

I assume this error isn't a repeat of the last issue you had:

If none of those are the problem the next step would probably be to activate debug mode and see what, if any, errors are being thrown.

After much hacking I got this problem resolved, I'm not entirely sure what did it but after reinstalling the plugin, disabling all cache and setting everything back to basic... then slowly throwing back my theme and script mods it went back to how it was intended to work. Very strange indeed!

Thanks for your time all the same Jethin!

I would like to suggest if you are inclined to make another version of this great plugin, is to allow more control on how the user information is displayed; for example: whether or not the posts are shown... I've had to edit it to not display the postsLink, and other controls would be nice.

    Great, glad it worked out.

Hopefully I will get the chance to update the plugin at some point, and your suggestions are good ones. My strategy with v1 was to keep things simple (no admin settings page, internationalization) but I admit this can be limiting for users. However, I did try to make sure all display items have a unique class name attached to them so they can be hidden with simple CSS rules.

    Thanks for your feedback.
