Whenever someone tries to leave a comment on my blog posts they are taken to a white screen and nothing happens. The comments aren't showing up. I've changed my theme back to the default, I've turned off Askimet, I've checked my comment settings, but nothing is working. Can anyone help?

Have you tried:
- deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).
- switching to the Twenty Eleven theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.
- resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.
- re-uploading the wp-admin and wp-includes folders from a fresh download of WordPress.

Thanks. My searching said that Askimet was the one that usually caused the problem, so I deactivated it, but not the rest. Turns out I could only activate two of the 6 I had and get it to work. Thanks again.

Akismet is rarely the cause of a problem like this.
