Paypal Donation Form on page? Is this possible? (3 posts)

I've been googling around and finding examples of what I need, but I can't find plugins or any info on how it's being done. Basically we're adding a donation page to the non-profit I work for.

Instead of just having the easy mode "Donate!" paypal button on the page, we want the actual form on the page so that people can donate with the credit card. I've found plugins that let me do this with Authorize.net but I see pages like the one below that have paypal listed.

Example of a form I'd like.
    Original location of that example.

Anyone know of any plugins or posts or pages to read up on how to go about this? We want the cheapest way to take donations directly on our site. Preferably donations that are automatically just going to our paypal account.

Or a way for people to donate through paypal without the need for a paypal account.

    Any helps, thanks in advance!

You don't need a paypal account to donate via paypal, they'll take credit cards no problem. I would recommend going this way, as it will require minimal development from you, and paypal will handle all the security for you.

Alternatively, you could try one of the major e-commerce plugins like WordPress E-Commerce or WooCommerce, but they may add a lot more functionality than you're looking for.

Lastly, if you're comfortable with it, you could integrate directly with authorize.net. Their api is very easy to work with.

Keep in mind if you do start taking credit cards on your website with options 2 or 3, you need to get an ssl certificate, make sure you're pci compliant, etc. If you all want is to take donations for a non-profit, really, the easiest way is just to add a paypal donate button and send them off site.

I like the idea of keep it off site. I think im going to go with your idea and try to combine it with something else. I've read on other posts its possible to pass data from my contact 7 form to the paypal form through the URL itself. If I can get it to pass over the users information it would work perfect. Just not totally sure on how to pass over everything. Name, address, amount, etc.

Something like this form except without the Confirmation page. Basically I want them to fill out the form, click pay, it forwards to paypal and once they paid, it sends them back to my site. Example

This other example sounds like what I want, but I dont understand where to put that code. Example 2
