Payment confirmation blank "end" page

I have my payment gateway setup, everything works wonderfully.
The only problem I’m encountering is that after, for example using paypal express, after the payment is made and user is brought back to the page – there is no “end” page for the payment process.
No “thank you”, order details, redirect to home ect. Just blank order results page.
Any ideas how to fix this? Something as simple as a hard coded “Thank you” would suffice.
The standard bank payment module displays the details though, I’m having problems only with the outside providers.
