So got everything installed and options set up. My website pays authors for every unique view.

So stats are showing views great but it’s only showing the posts written in the time frame specified.

What I need is for it to count views for ALL posts not just the posts written in the current month.

I pay for ALL unique views so I need to pay for views in february but on all posts even if they’re years old.

How do I do this?

also, another problem. I bought the 2-5 licenses and have it installed on 2 sites. The first site is showing me totals owed (with the exception of what I mentioned above) but the 2nd site is showing all 0.00 in amount owed. I triple checked and I have the options set up for both exactly the same. Second site is showing written posts number but not payment owed.

Waiting for some feature that will make this thing more intuitive, you can put a very big number (like 10000) in Options > Misc settings > default time range > custom, which will result in the automatic selection of a very wide time range. Future versions will allow to view posts with unpaid visits.

As for your second site, are the countings right (i.e. Visits correctly showed)? Could you provide a screenshot of yourooptions page?

It’s still not showing correctly. Looking in analytics 1 user is owed 1.47 for February but PPC is only showing .63

(I need it to show all February unique views for all posts by an author but now the date range says 1986/10/11 – 2014/02/26)

Are you sure are looking at unique pageviews both in analytics and in the plugin? And that you have pulled past data back enough?

As for the other web site, are you sure the analytics Profile is correct?

Thread Starter Raradra

(@raradra)

Yes, as you can see in the site1 screenshots the two numbers are different and yes in the options I’ve got ‘unique views’ ticked.

Yes it’s the correct profile. It took some double checking because it doesn’t show me the site names like your install video shows for you it says ‘web data’ for both sites so I had to see the writers to know it was correct but it IS correct.

Here’s a another question for you. Since the yoast plugin wasn’t working properly for authors (categories showed fine but not authors) I use both it AND analyticator (to utilize the custom script sections). Is it possible that using two plugins to count is messing with anything?

here is the custom script I input with analyticator.

Additional tracking code
( before tracker initialization ):

<!– start Google Analytics –>

var _gaq = _gaq || [];
_gaq.push([‘_setAccount’, ‘my google code is here‘]);
_gaq.push([‘_setDomainName’, ‘writedge.com’]);
_gaq.push([‘_trackPageview’]);
_gaq.push([‘_setCustomVar’,2,’Author’,'{variable}’,3],[‘_trackPageview’],[‘_trackPageLoadTime’]);

(function() {
var ga = document.createElement(‘script’); ga.type = ‘text/javascript’; ga.async = true;
ga.src = (‘https:’ == document.location.protocol ? ‘https://ssl’ : ‘http://www’) + ‘.google-analytics.com/ga.js’;
var s = document.getElementsByTagName(‘script’)[0]; s.parentNode.insertBefore(ga, s);
})();

<!– end Google Analytics –>

}
}

I am not sure I understand, first you said you wanted all posts, now only february… I do not really get what your needs are.

Are you working with custom variables in analytics? Because the plugin does not, what it does is it takes all posts written by each user and adds them all together.

Plugin Author Stefano

(@ste_95)

As for the double plugin for analytics, you’d better ask yoast or the other. In general, however, choosing only one would be better I think.

Thread Starter Raradra

(@raradra)

Like I said I need ALL posts looked at but only 1 month of unique views. I want to pay them for unique views they got this month no matter when they wrote the post.

Yes I’m working with custom variables because I know of no other way to get unique views instead of total views in analytics.

Neither of which explains why site number 2 is showing views but not payment owed.

Plugin Author Stefano

(@ste_95)

The plugin does not allow you custom visits time ranges, only totals are shown (the only control you have on it is how much in the past you want the total To start, Butfrom that time on , total visits are only shown. If you Mark a post as paid, however, will practically reset the counting To zero .

Can you post a screenshot of a detailed view for An author of the second site?

Thread Starter Raradra

(@raradra)

http://aphroditewebdesign.com/ppc4.jpg

Unfortunately, if it wont count unique views per author on every post it’s no use for me. I need something that counts all unique views (and lets the authors see their own true stats) by March 1st. If PPC can’t be tweaked to do it I’ll have to get a refund and look elsewhere 🙁

Just check in analytics, in the contents section, that visits data are available there as well. If they are not, there’s some problem in your setup with analytics, maybe the tracking code or your profile settings, otherwise the plugin may have problems in pulling data, and I would therefore ask you To try and pull past data, just a couple of days would do, and see if the data match. You Can try this Last thing for your second site as well.

Thread Starter Raradra

(@raradra)

I see dashboard, shortcuts, intelligence events, real-time, audience, acquisition, behaviour, and conversions.

I do not see a contents section.

No it doesn’t match. It’s only counting posts for February when I look at February views. As I said if it can’t count monthly views for all posts ever, per author, it’s no use to me.

Plugin Author Stefano

(@ste_95)

It’s getting really difficult To troubleshoot by smartphone and screenshots. If you want, we can have a screen sharing-Skype session on saturday and try to sort this out, that is the best I can do. Otherwise, I can refund you.
