• Can anyone help me out with adding Paypal pay per event function on front end form? kind of have no idea where to start.

I want to add a check out page after the front-end form submitted then if user make payment event goes live, if does not pays event saved as draft or pending and add “pay now” button on dashboard for users to make payment to push their event to live.

  • Hiya,

You’ll need to use a plugin that can charge for access to certain content in order to do this.

Try on of the membership plugins, like S2Member, for example.

    Thanks,
    Phil

I was playing around with s2member last night but could not find the way to do it yet. cause of the complicity on s2member plug in lol. I will spend more time on that plug-in to see if it works or not.
    Thanks!

Worth a go. A lot of people use both s2member and Events Manager so they should play well together.

    – can I know if you are a pro user? if yes, can you re-post this in a pro forums instead?

    thanks

Hi Angelo, no I’m a not pro user. However, if events manager integrate pay per post function on front-end form with transaction history for both back-end(for admin) and front-end(by each user), I would love to purchase pro version.

I’m trying to make this happen by my own now and having lot of trouble due to lack of my programing knowledge.

Sorry, that’s not something that Events Manager will do out-of-the-box but it could probably be done with some custom coding.

would u mind giving me some tips to make that happen? I have been trying
overwriting event_status to “0” and post_status to “pending” when front-end form submitted at first time. Then display “pay now” button on dashboard.

then attach post_id to pay now button that connects to Paypal, so if payments made, update event_status to “1” and post_status to “publish”.

I have been spending quite amount of time trying this but could not even solve the first thing yet.
