    The path should be “http://about-the-town.com/tampa/files/2012/01/tomas3.png” actually … were you messing with file path settings in the site options?

    That is the file path that is used in the theme to generate the slider image. It’s a custom field called “Thumbnail”. For some reason, the path gets rewritten. I’m not aware of changing file path settings at all. Where may I be able to check and fix this?

    Thank you for responding.

    Then it’s the theme or the plugin the theme uses that’s not working right.

    What theme is it?

    ETA: Mind you, that may be because the theme/plugin wasn’t written with Multisite in mind. I take it you can’t manually fix it in the meta field?

    I’ve tried both paths in the meta field and neither will work. What’s really confounding is that this was working fine before. I have no idea what I could have changed that broke it. The only source code I’ve changed so far was a background color in the feature.php file drives the slideshow. Tried restoring that file and it still doesn’t work.

    The theme is MyCuisine from Elegant Themes.

    It was working and then it broke… Okay. While you don’t know what you changed that broke it, do you know what you changed at all?

    Inside the theme: includes/featured.php this code controls the background color

    $arr[$i][“color”] = isset( $et_mycuisine_settings[‘et_fs_bgcolor’] ) ? $et_mycuisine_settings[‘et_fs_bgcolor’] : ‘452917’;

    I changed the hexidecimel color at the end of this line. The color changed, the slider was still working. I restored the original file. Tried compressing the file, uncompressed then restored again. No difference. This is the only line of code I touched within the theme. I touched no path settings anywhere.

    I know this may not sound believable but this is what happened.

    Think bigger? Did you change ANYTHING else on the site? Add a plugin or a widget>?

    Thread Starter jdubindustries

    (@jdubindustries)

    No. All I was doing was playing with different images in the media manager trying to find dimensions/look that worked aesthetically. I’ve only installed one plugin and did that long before this happened. No new widgets. Tried disabling the plugin with no change.

    Coincidentally, you’ve responded to my post 4 times and that’s 4 more times than the staff at Elegant Themes have responded to my post on their forums. I really appreciate your attention.

    @lpstenu: Thanks for all your help. It does appear to be theme related. Elegant Themes provided a fix and all seems to be working now.

    I’m glad Elegant had a fix!
