My clients passwords ARE NOT being emailed to them....did I miss something in the setup. I don't recall setting up any CDONTS or CDSYS. Where do I set this up at? Thanks in advance.

Well, that sticky only tells "me" how to reset passwords. That's a great thing too, but my clients are not getting their original emails containing their passwords. I am getting an email stating that they have signed up, but no email to them.

    Oops, sorry missed that:

This search will cover a number of possible reasons/solutions:

non of the discussions found on the google link you have suggested, have a solution to this, apparently, very common problem!

Ive made a clean install of wordpress 2.5.1, I have received the admin password to the admin email address during the installation process, however NO emails have been sent by wordpress anywhere since.

This prevents from new users to register.
The server wordpress is setup on supports the php Mail function, i host a big phpBB on that server for a few years, and have never ran into any kind of trouble with sending emails before.

    Help!

Do these represent an error message you have received? If so, this may very well be a server side issue you need to discuss with your host. I think CDONTS and CDYS are mail/SMTP components for Windows IIS Server using active server pages, but I could be way off base I suppose. (Not a hardcore Windows fan).

Yes. But for an unlimited number of not necessarily WordPress related issues.

Has your hosting service been of any assistance? Have they made any recent changes?

    Best of luck to you.
