Okay I set up my wordpress blog. Now I need to figure out a few things.
Problem 1: When a new user registers on my site, it never send them the password to there account.
Problem 2: I'm sure there have been a few posts on this, but I have not sucsessfully found them. The RSS feed says:
This XML file does not appear to have any style information associated with it. The document tree is shown below.

How would I go about adding style to the document?

    Thanks,
    mattc908

    1. Talk to your host.
    2. That's how it should be. Congratulations

If you are the host... you should know. Read about the documentation how WP is sending mail. See if that function is working on your server.
We do NOT provide support for setting up your server.

I was wondering if anyone else was having the problem........ Now maybe someone else could help out, considering its a wordpress problem, I thought here would be a good place to start aye?

thats where you are wrong -- its NOT a wordpress problem. WordPress uses what a gazillion (ok, thats a bit of a stretch but still) other web apps use to send it's emails.

If wordpress cant send an email its a box OR a mail issue.

Anyway, Alex's Server Check Script tests if you can run his lovely Tasks program on your server. One of the checks is if it can send mail. Might be worth a try, you know, just to make sure and stuff.

If you happened to actually test this using a dummy account, WP tells you the problem

The e-mail could not be sent.
Possible reason: your host may have disabled the mail() function...

How did I get that msg?

I signed up for a username, and immediately used the lost password option. :P

Thats not a WP problem, thats someone that cant administer Ubuntu :)
