I installed a new WordPress site and promptly lost the randomly generated admin password.
After smacking myself on the head, I did some research and found multiple password reset strategies which I tried. I'm still having problems.
When I log on using an incorrect password, the logon box shakes and I get an error "ERROR: The password you entered for the username <username> is incorrect."
When I enter the password that I used in my reset attempts, I don't get the error dialog and the logon box doesn't shake. However, WordPress redirects me right back to the logon screen where I need to enter my username and password again... which brings me right back to the same place.
After I enter (what I believe are) correct credentials, I'm redirected to:
http://mydomain.com/wp-login.php?redirect_to=http%3A%2F%2Fmydomain.com%2Fwp-admin%2F&reauth=1
Is there an easy way to solve this?
