What I thought to be my password did not work for my blog (located on a leased web-host server). I used the WordPress 2-step reset feature. The first email I received instructed me to click a URL that it provided. At the destination, I saw a message telling me my new password had been sent to my email address. The second message sent to me, however, only contained the following text:
"Password Lost and Changed for user: admin"
No password was provided. I repeated the process three times with the same result--no password reset.
When I first came to the support forum tonight, I also had a bad password. I used the 2-part password reset, which worked as intended. The second email I received had the new password for me to login to the support forum.
Since the reset has worked for my blog in the past, what could be preventing it from working properly now?
