I have a lot of the posts on my blog password protected. It works just fine to access them in Firefox or Google Chrome (the two browsers that I primarily use), but it won't work in IE.
When I try to log in using IE, it just "refreshes" the page that I used to log in.
I'm a newbie at WP and am still learning... anyone have a suggestion as to what might be causing this?

I am having the same issue. When I try to log in a password protected page using Internet Explorer, the same page refreshes when i enter the password, but it doesn't log me in. I can log into the same page using Firefox.
Any suggestions on what is causing this issue submitted by bekahai?
The two issues could be caused by completely different things. I'd suggest posting a new topic.

I have the same problem but mine works in IE but not in firefox or google chrome. Anybody found an answer to this as I really need password protected pages on my site?

I am experiencing the same problem. Is there any type of support for this? I do not feel that what bekahia described are two different issues....

Problem still exists in WP 3.1-RC3 - exactly the same behavior! Anyone find a solution yet?
There are no outstanding issues with password page or post protection as far as I am aware. Please post a new topic with details of your particular problem. I am now closing this thread as it is over a year old.
