Password Protection (12 posts)

  1. Hey Becca,
I saw your last post on Purple Lemonade - I hope you stick with it for more than 2 days. It'll start to make sense. ;)
In regards to the password protect posts not being shown:

I have no idea. I'm still pretty new with the system myself.

yea I saw that post about the password protection stuff not being shown....I was hoping it was something else and I wouldnt have to reinstall word press. :( I guess I'll have to though and see if it works......
and for the custom fields thing...I tried using that plug-in but yet again it was being funky.
I guess I'll try re-installing WP though...do I need to delete everything completely?

  3. Delete all the files except the wp-config.php, index.php, and wp-layout.css files. Then reupload everything else.

The database is just fine - your deleting files won't upset it at all.
    For future use though:

  6. I'm wondering if its your index.php file that's modified incorrectly. Can you try using the default index.php (and wp-layout.css) files to help narrow that down?

Hey becca, i have had some install problems my self and still have some problems that i can live with until i figure out what they really do. But anyway i did have to erase that database information and upload everything to get it to work right. If you are like me and have a www page and want to add in WP to your site keep your css page and your index.html page of your site. but get ride of the css and index from WP. Basicly just start over and get rid of everything wordpress and start a fresh reload.

Before sending me to read you could just make a simple search - as I did now for you:
