My wife’s blog is in a subfolder to my main directory (http://www.thetrenchcoat.com/JADE). When she posted a private entry the password would not work. I checked the settings and there is no ending slash in the options and we use MSIE. Is the fact that it’s in a subfolder the problem? Thanks.

I think it could have to do with the directory being “JADE”. Maybe somewhere, wordpress thinks its “jade”.

Would you suggest renaming the subfolder?

Yes, you can try that, but that would change the URI of the weblog to all lowercase too, and you might have to change the URI of the blog in the WP admin interface for that weblog before you rename the directory/subfolder.
Please let us know if this worked 🙂

I may just move her to a subdomain. I think having her wordpress in a subfolder may be the problem.

Having wordpress in a subfolder is not a problem at all. Most folks have wordpress in http://example.com/wordpress , for example.
