I want to password protect a static page. When I go to type in the password, though, it just refreshes and prompts me to do the same thing over and over again.
I'm at http://www.iseroma.com.
The page itself is: http://www.iseroma.com/iseroadvisory/aboutus/deandre/deandres-stuff
This does not happen when I'm logged in as Admin. When I'm logged in, it goes directly to the page without the password protect prompt.
My theme is Cleaker 2.1.
Have you tried:
- deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).
- switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-related problems.

I have this same problem - there are no plugins activated, and even the default theme does the same thing. The feature worked fine, and now - NOT.
HELP anyone?????
Hi,
- Upgrade your wordpress to the latest version
- Remove all the unwanted code from the htaccess
- Make sure that you are logged out from the wordpress admin panel when you are checking the password protected post.
Thanks,
Shane G.

Thanks for replying. Actually it was a settings thing in my permalinks. I had changed the Blog address url but didn't update the WordPress url. That fixed it.
Good for you! Now, would you explain what you did, because I'm having the same problem...

Thank you, esmi. I deleted all unwanted plug-ins. That did the trick.
