Password protect page and sidebar

    I have read tons of post but no good solution. I am pulling my hair out trying to figure out how to password protect sidebar along with the page content. I am using the standard password protect within WordPress. This only protects the content or posts not the sidebars. The sidebars still show and I do not want them to. Is there a plugin or an edit that can be done to resolve this issue. Help would be greatly appreciated.

    You didn’t mention whether you are trying to do this for one post or page, or your whole site.

    If you want to protect your whole site from view by anyone who is not logged in, my plugin is a very simplistic approach:

    The sidebars still show and I do not want them to.

    -Just to be clear, are you saying you don’t want to eliminate sidebars
    altogether?

    -What theme are you using?

    I am doing this for multiple pages. A parent page and some subpages. I do not want to eliminate my sidebars. I just want the content and sidebars to be password protected. I am trying to achieve that once the password is entered, the content and sidebars appear. I am using Techozoic Fluid theme. I also have (FT Password Protect Children Pages) installed http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/ft-password-protect-children-pages/ Thanks for the response.

    This Is a simple plugin that suited my needs. One password to protect the whole page. However you need the paid version to get all the cool features.

    I am still surprised someone has not made a plugin to include the sidebars with standard WP password protect.
