I recently moved my blog, and saved all the files on it before the move. I uploaded all of them, but that didn't work for some reason, so I re-installed wordpress completely with the new version. It gave me a new password, and now everything is gone. I tried my old admin password, and it doesn't work to bring the stuff back up.

What am I doing wrong here? Is there a fix? I do have all the old files...do I need to replace some new ones with old ones or something?

    Thanks!

WordPress has two components, the files, and the database that contains your posts, links, comments, pages. Doesn't sound like you have your database moved.

    Please review Moving WordPress.

I followed that, checked after overwriting a couple things, and it worked well. Now I screwed up something by overwriting. Here is the error message.

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: add_filter() in /homepages/2/d205584958/htdocs/wp-includes/default-filters.php on line 4

    How do I fix this?

Thank you so much for your help.

I'd say your wordpress files are not complete/intact--try uploading them again or at a minimum reupload wp-includes/plugin.php (that file contains the add_filter function).
