Password field shows clear text (4 posts)

    Can you make the password data field in the SMTP options settings an actual password field and not a textbox? Then, the characters in the password field are masked (shown as asterisks or circles). Right now, the password is in full view of anyone registered as an admin of the WordPress website.

    I agree. It's just a matter of changing the <input type="text" to <input type="password"

    erantdo and DarkWolffe - this plugin has not been updated since, 2011-7-10. It's unlikely that a fix is on the horizon. We can always change the code on our own.

    This is a great plugin and it would be nice to see it supported.
