Can anyone tell me what system WordPress uses to encrypt users passwords? Is it MD5? I am trying to use WP's user tables to authenticate users of another program. I had thought this info might be in the documentation, somewhere, but I can't find it. Many thanks in advance for any assistance.

It uses it's own PHP password class.
