I'm trying to build a membership site that has support.mysite.com for a support ticket site. Both are wp installs and on a multisite network. I want people to register at the main site http://www.mysite.com but automatically be registered at the support site at support.mysite.com. How can I achieve this.

And of course, Ipstenu comes in with some help. Much thanks. I'm wondering if I'm using it wrong because when I add a new user through the mysite.com registration, it does not add them to the support.mysite.com installation? Also, just for fun, I tried to add a user via the 'Network >> add user' and it didn't add them to either.

If this helps....I'm using S2Member to enroll the member on mysite.com...does that make a difference? I had asked at S2Member, I asked about this same thing and they told me that WP didn't do that...which actually kind of worried me, since I have read and heard, that it does.

Here is the link to that thread...just in case it helps.

If you can give me some guidance on how to accomplish this, I would appreciate it. I'm sure that if I messed with wp core and database tables I could get it...but there is one problem with that...I NEVER WANT TO MAKE HARD CODE CHANGES TO WORDPRESS CORE...as fun as it would be, I just can't see anything but future problems coming from doing so.

  3. I don't know how you're using it ;)

I presume you installed it and then set a default role for new users on that site?

Sorry for the delayed "Resolved". Client went a different way and I just realized that I never marked this resolved.
