Hi all.
I exported my typepad blog as a text file. Inspecting it, everything is there intact.
When I import it into wordpress, parts of posts are cut off- early, in the first line. There is no rhyme or reason to it as well. Going through admin, and looking at each post in the HTML, it's not intact as well.
I've tried deleting, re-exporting/importing, changing themes...
Does this sound familiar? Help!

Sorry I cannot offer a solution as I have a very similar problem, except I exported/imported using an XML file. Some posts are cut off, seemingly randomly. Some after a couple of characters and some after a few lines. Some [long > 100 line] posts are complete.
Luckily, I am just testing out WordPress to see if it is suitable to use for a website, so I have not lost anything except a wasted week or so.
As the backup/restore gave me no errors I wonder how many WordPress users who have been diligently making backups do not realise they may not be able to restore their site if needed?
If something as basic as backup/restore does not work reliably then I cannot see WordPress is ready for serious use, which is a pity as it seems easier for a novice like me to configure than Drupal.
