    Hey guys,
Am using responsive theme – so I was editing functions.php (specifically, added a line or two of codes to the bottom of the file where i thereafter deleted the same line(s) of codes after seeing how its output was like.

And then, I gotten this error below and couldn’t access my wp-admin any longer.

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘.’ in /home/moviesav/public_html/wp-content/themes/responsive/functions.php on line 30

Re-upload a fresh copy of the Responsive theme using FTP. And next time, do not edit the theme’s template files. Create a child theme for your changes

how do I keep my posts and pages and my homepage that I’ve configured, whilst doing what you suggested (i.e. re-uploading fresh copy of the theme)?

    K, I reuploaded a fresh copy of the theme onto /public_html/wp-content/themes/responsive.1.9.3 (1)

    still can’t access my wp-admin

Try re-uploading all files & folders – except the wp-content folder – from a fresh download of WordPress. Make sure that you delete the old copies of files & folder before uploading the new ones.

Thanks Esmi – will try that the next round. I reinstalled the theme actually and started from scratch since I didn’t have much on the blog before I reinstalled.
