   I just followed the extensive upgrade guide step by step but when it's time to do the actual upgrade(.php) then I get this error:

   Parse error: syntax error, unexpected $end in /home/visitswe/public_html/vdblogg/wp-includes/wp-db.php on line 811

   The blog's address is http://vdblogg.visitsweden.com

   I've done the ftp transfer 5 times just in case some files were missed but the problem is still the same. I've also tried deleting the file mentioned and uploading it specifically without any change.

   What's up?

   Trying to install version 2.6.2.

   You are using ASCII mode (or Auto if using Filezilla) in your FTP program, correct?

   Try redoing Steps 7 and 8 of Upgrading WordPress Extended.

   Hi MichaelH!

   I checked now and I'm using Auto in FlashFXP. Is that correct? If so redoing the steps won't help me.
   Or should I switch to ASCII?

   I'd recommend using FileZilla, but for any other program, use ASCII mode.

   Trying again with a delete and upload in FileZilla.
