  • Have you tried deleting that file from the server and re-uploading a new one ?

    Yes, also tried deleting everything and doing a fresh install with a new database.
    I have a wp install on my local webserver that works fine with the same file.
    Could it have something to do with the virtual hosting set up of my web hosting company?
    thanks for the reply

    echo "<form action="%22.get_settings("siteurl')."/wp-admin/post.php' method='get'>\n";
    That %22 is strange – it’s not in my copy of post.php
    echo "<form action='".get_settings('siteurl')."/wp-admin/post.php' method='get'>\n";

    If indeed line 521 has the error- it may well not of course.

    Just to follow up, I think this problem was caused by using GoLive. Actually, editing and ftp is okay but its not a good idea to drag the WordPress folder into a Golive site window.
    Hope this helps somebody.
