I have two menus set up - one for my default pages, and one (Navigation #&) for a page that I am using as a sample site for a client. If I do NOT assign a menu (wp > appearance > menus) the child pages appear appropriately under their parent. However, when I assign the menu under the Theme Locations section, the child pages appear along the top nav...why??? Thanks for any help!

nevermind, I got it! sorry!
Sub menus don't appear automatically with custom menus, but I understand you can add "sub pages" under another page in a custom menu, although I never tried it. Supposed to be able to do it in the standard meun settings. I'll be trying it myself as well, been meaning too for a few days.
yeah it works, but you'd never figure it out on your own..I had to google it. You have to drag the menu item widgets under each other to set the order of the drop-down. Very cool once you know.
I now see you musta googled it too!
