   I set up a site recently and wanted to make a few changes to fonts in the theme i was running but as i created the child theme (and called it 'colorway upgrade') i got an error message which now appears anytime i try to visit my site and or login to my dashboard

   I am assuming something is corrupted?? Should i replace some of the wordpress install files and if so which ones and would that wipe any contenet i have.

   Hello r896neo,

   Before re-installing WordPress files, I would recommend manually switching to the default theme. Using either an FTP program or your web host's File Manager, rename the colorway-upgrade theme which should force WordPress to use the default theme. If this resolves the issue, then you have determined that the error is caused by the Child Theme and not core WordPress files.
