delvec28I developed a theme in wordpress for my cousin - ladybuglocks.com - and tested in multiple browsers. All seem to load quickly except for IE. When I try to load the page, it freezes while downloading most of the images and can take 5-10 seconds for them to fully download and appear on the screen.
I've been on several different forums and heard a host of suggestions including:
- Remove Google fonts
- Remove custom javascript
- Reduce image filesize
- Reduce the number of requests
- Remove file resizing script (timthumb)
.. and I'm sure a few that I'm not mentioning. This has become incredible frustrating and while I can't confirm it, I think it may have something to do with WordPress because I've never seen this problem in my picture heavy HTML only sites in IE.
I would greatly appreciate if anyone could check out the site and perhaps give me a few suggestions or point me in the right direction.
It's very problematic because the majority of people use IE and my cousin wants to advertise but doesn't feel comfortable doing so until the site is more responsive.
