    Hi,
I just purchased the premium version of AAM, and received an email with a key. But, when I click on the link for the instructions, nothing happens. The link is not a legitimate link, and I’ve been unable to find any instructions at all for how to take advantage of the license key.
Any help would be appreciated, especially by the author…

  • Hi,

You have to paste this code in the frame of the configpress :

    [aam]
license_key = “your license key here”

and then refresh the page !

    Thanks for the help.
I can see from some of your posts that you’re a user, and are also struggling with what seems to be the inherent problem with this plugin…

It’s a really great plug-in, but the documentation is sparse and difficult to understand, as are certain aspects of the UI. In addition, the plug-in author does not seem to support it much, which is a real shame.

I have found this plug-in to be finicky, but really quite amazing and very helpful. I wish we could get Vasyl to pay more attention to this.

And for those of you that did not quite understand gvaslin’s response, here is a more detailed description.

Within AAM, version 1.7.3, there are a number of tabs. One of those tabs is Configpress. At first glance, it’s quite hard to figure out what to do with this tab, but you can use this tab to submit configuration and setup information to AAM, so that it will act in slightly different ways than the default behavior. You enter all of this information into this tab using a syntax which includes [function_area], followed by a value pair, which has the syntax of parameter = “value”.
After you receive a license key, you’ll need to visit the ConfigPress tab, and enter
    [aam]
license_key = “your license key here”

The license key will be the key that you received when you purchased the premium product. It seems to me that there have been some threads that talk about the parameters noted above being overwritten during an upgrade. So, you should put your license key aside, to be sure you don’t lose it.
    Thanks again to gvaslin…
