  • After I upgraded WordPress to 3.5, I just got a customer who asked me to send the download link after the payment was completed through Paypal. I sent him a link manually and he does not tell if he did not get a link from Paypal. This is an indication that it might not be functioning.

I don’t have a credit card with me for the time being so I cannot test it by myself to see if the Paypal payment is working fine or not. I tried the Sandbox mode but could not figure out how to set it up.

I’m wondering what to do now. Downgrading the site is a pain. Trying another plugin for e-commerce may be an option but many of them require the site to be a whole shopping site and it’s hard to set up. This plugin on the other hand, just let us place a purchasable download link very easily, which I really like about.

I hope the compatibility issue gets fixed soon.

I like the simplicity of this plugin. This is also what I need.
But it seems the problem is with the url structure.
The url doesn’t redirect to the download page.
It shows the home page instead.

This doesn’t seem to work in 3.5 for me as well. I uploaded a file and it just goes to a white screen afterwards, with no files in the file manager screen. Hopefully this gets fixed soon!

I checked, it’s working in fresh install of WordPress 3.5.
But when upgraded from old version, it doesn’t work.

    Hi
This isnt working in 3.5 for me either.

PayPal is having problems with the IPN url and none of my transactions are being recorded!

Please can you look into this as a matter of urgency as manually sending links is not ideal.

    Hi
I just figured out that the “Bad Behaviour” plugin is stopping the PayPal IPN receiving from working. Adding PayPal’s IP address to the whitelist has fixed the issue. My apologies for thinking it was your plugin.

    Kind regards
    Nick

Hello. First off, thank you for the plugin, it has been very helpful to me over the past year or so.

I too am having troube with the plugin. It has been working well for over a year but yesterday the download link generates this error message:

    “Not Found
Apologies, but the page you requested could not be found. Perhaps searching will help.

    Search for:”

Also the plugin sent me ten administrator messages “Completed Payment Received,” rather than the usual single message.

I tried to download the link from the wordpress dashboard paid download settings – flies, but it creates the same message.

I upgraded the latest version, created the folder “files’ as instructed, and created a test file. The test file does appear in the folder in my webhost files, but when I try to dowload t using the plugin dashboard, it creates an error message, “That webpage is not available.”

Any suggestions on how to fix?

Oh yeah, I am using wp version 3.3.1.

Here is the full error message that I get when I try to download a file from the plugin dashboard: This webpage is not found
No webpage was found for the web address: http://mindfulnessangermanagement.com/?paiddownloads_id=22
Error 6 (net::ERR_FILE_NOT_FOUND): The file or directory could not be found.

PLEASE can someone advise me how to get this working again. It worked for a year and now I am on wordpress 3.5 no download links are being sent although payment is going to Paypal. It is a nightmare and I would appreciate any help on resolving this. I am not sure how to whitelist the IP address so all help would be appreciated.

    Hi
This happened to me when I installed the “Bad Behaviour” plugin which stops the PayPal IN from being received.
Do you perhaps have any security plugins that you have installed?

Can anyone verify if the issue with 3.5 was resolved or if there even if there was one to begin with?

Me too suffering from this problem. Some clients get upset when not receiving what they paid for, however any fix would be highly appreciated
