[resolved] Pages show posts from a particular category? (4 posts)

    Hello WordPress users.

This question has been asked many times as I can see, just by looking through the forums old posts on this topic, however, I can't seem to find a direct answer and they all seem so complicated.

As the title suggests, I want my pages to display all posts from a particular category.
For instance, the page 'How-To' will show all posts in the How-To category and sub-categories.

I have 7 pages; Home, About, Downloads, Build IT, How-To, Forum, Glossary. Then I have about 30 categories (inc. sub-categories)... It's going to get messy soon!
Thus; I want my How-To page to display posts from my How-To category and its 'Websites' 'Computers' 'Programming' sub-categories.

I dislike the idea of using plugins such as redirect as they have to be loaded on every page and can make things slow. Unfortunately none of the other forum posts can give me a straight forward answer.

Can anyone give me a simple answer, and if code and/or modification is required, explain where to edit/place this code.

Much appreciated, hopefully I'll have this up and running soon after a few more changes! Thankyou.

    look into category templates:

you might need to reorganize your menu, or could use the 'page-links-to' plugin

Thanks for the reply, I have previously read through the Category Templates page, unfortunately though It doesn't seem to help me.

I'm not sure where to start, do I make a category template PHP and then somehow make this my How-To page?
I'm not sure how to do this, my apologies for my lack of knowledge on this matter, this is why I am here.

    Thanks again.

Nevermind my previous post, I figured out a useful way to do it.
For anyone else who would like to do the same, read the article:

    Thanks!
