Pages & posts 404 randomly but not homepage – Saving permalink settings fixes it

    Randomly with my wordpress sites pages and posts will start to 404. By just going to the permalink settings in WordPress and changing nothing, just hitting save fixes it.

    What could be causing it though? I don’t like it to keep happening.

    That sounds like your root .htaccess file is being corrupted on the server. Have you spoken to your hosts about it?

    Hi Esmi,

    No I will do though. What should I say? That I think my .htaccess files keeps getting corrupt?

    Exactly that. And that the only fix you have managed to find is to update the .htaccess file at regular intervals.
