Pages periodically come up blank

I installed wp-cache a while back, and although it’s brilliant in a lot of ways, it produced a nasty bug in that pages often come up blank. Looking through the support forums, I found
this which led me to this suggested fix. Unfortunately, that change already sems to have been made in the version I’m using, so I don’t know what to do
