Pages not showing up in Parent list (3 posts)

    Hello,
I've been getting the hierarchy set up for my site, and until yesterday, it's been working fine. I have a parent page, "nmphlc", in which all the new pages are children of. Or rather, were children of.

On the pages list, the "nmphlc" page still shows that it has children under it. But, whenever I update and publish one of the children pages, they lose the children status. In the Parent drop-down menu, nmphlc is not even listed as an option; nor are any of the other pages I've added recently.

It's odd because the pages that have not been updated are still under the "nmphlc" parent page. Only when they are published do they lose that status.

Can anyone tell me what's going on?

    Have you tried:

    - deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    - switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

    - resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

And why are you using an old copy of WordPress?

I'm a student working on a portion of a university website. Why they haven't updated is beyond me. I do have some administrative capabilities, but I am wary of deactivating anything since the site is currently operational.

I can run these ideas by the web coordinator and see what happens. Perhaps they recently added a pluggin that's giving me these troubles.

    Thanks!
