greentalkI upgraded to WP 3.1. At the same time , my host moved my website to their Linux server. Now I have bad characters all over my site. such as ^A. And to boot, my current posts won't move to the front page. In fact none of the changes to the site appear on the front page. No drop down menus for categories, pop up footer is green on other pages, yellow on home page, and teasers show up on home page when I have changed this is thesis.
Host wants to revert back to old database which is five days old. Since then I have 100s of comments and new posts. Everything will be lost.
My website is three years old and I suspect that there is a UTF-8 problem. Searched WP forum and commented out the UTF-8 in the wp config file, but no change.
I really don't want to revert to the old database.
I think the two issues are separate. I am going to one by one remove my plugins and see if they are causing the issue.
