[resolved] Pages moving position - Blix (4 posts)

I've discovered a problem with my blog, which uses the Blix template. In Internet Explorer, the homepage content is in the correct position, but if you click on to one of the other pages, all of the content shifts to the left. This is only happening with pages (About, What I do and Contact me), and not any of the category archives.

In Firefox, only one of the pages - Contact me - is moving position, but it's shifting to the right and not the left like in IE.

I have made tweaks to the CSS files but am not sure what could be causing this. If anyone has any ideas or suggestions I'd be very grateful indeed.

No simple answer for this, IE6 and previous have their own box-model, different from 'modern' browsers. Out of the box blix handles this ok but you might have stepped on something. A bit of 'fork in the road'; Either go back to the original layout.css or start using a separate stylesheet for for IE versions pre-7 (IE7 follows css standards far more then previous versions).

    Maybe this will help?:

Hi Yosemite - thanks very much for your advice. I experimented with restoring some of the original CSS settings and have managed to fix the problem in IE. The Firefox bug is still occurring but I can live with this!

    Thanks again for your help.
