Pages in database but not recognized by wordpress

so I just updated to 2.5 from 2.3 (i believe, it might have been 2.1) after the update everything works okay with the K2 theme (except for a few graphical issues and needing to rebuild all my sidebar stuff) but no pages are recognized by wordpress I can see them in the database but wordpess doesn’t list any pages in the admin panel. any ideas?
