  • Did you cut and paste the text of the about page from MS Office? The <p> has a class .MSoNormal, maybe some html hidden properties went into the page.

    Try saving that text somewhere else, delete it from the page and type normally, see if the font resets to how it should be.

    Then transform that about text into plain text format, and paste again.

    Before this topic is ‘resolved’, may I ask if this whole copying and pasting from MS Word problem is limited to only if the user copies and pastes to the Visual Editor?

    I have copied and pasted from MS Word into my WP post, but have not had the same problem. Is it because I disabled the Visual Editor and therefore all the text got pasted in without any formatting?

    Almost certainly. I think there’ll still be the odd validation problem with emdashes etc but nothing like the horrors that get included via the Visual editor.
